RECAP - OVERNIGHT WATERLOO CENOTAPH GUARD & REMBEBERENCE DAY PARADE

During the night of November 10th and the morning of November 11th of last year, Cadets stood Guard at the Waterloo Cenotaph. It is a symbol of remembrance of our fallen soldiers & respect. It stands as one of the most sacred duties Cadets perform during the training year, a part of their journey they will always remember. Not only did they do this, but they also marched in the Waterloo Remembrance Day March alongside members of the Canadian Armed Forces through Downtown Waterloo. So keep your eyes glued to the screen as you read this article, which covers it all.

Cadets slept overnight in a room inside Waterloo City Hall, sharing the space with Air Cadets from Squadron 530 Air Cadets (Havoc). Cadets are pictured above setting up a place to sleep inside Waterloo City Hall (24-11-10).

Cadets stood Guard at the Waterloo Cenotaph across different shifts overnight. They alternated with the Air Cadets from 530 Havoc for a total of 1 hour through 15-minute shifts. While only two events were shown in this article, Cadets did a lot more things over those two days. Follow the Warspite Instagram or Facebook to learn more about those events. Remembrance Day and its ceremonies are some of the most important duties for a Cadet to experience during their journey in the program. Thank you for reading, and I'll see you in the next article!
