As a Cadet, specifically a Sea Cadet, Seamanship is unarguably our main show. It encompasses what it really means to be a Sea Cadet, with the education of our proud Naval history, traditions, and the introduction of skills needed to master the sea. It has everything from Gyn to Semaphore to Flags & Pendants. In early January from the 10th to the 12th, Warspite Cadets headed down to HMCS Star Naval Reserve Base in Hamilton to learn and improve their Seamanship skills, along with other Corps in the Region. Added to Seamanship, was staying in the base overnight, meeting and making new friends and having important learning experiences. So sit back, relax, and don't let the gyn fall on you as you read this article!
