Attention Cadets & Parents,
Remembrance Day 2023 is almost upon us; please see the instructions below for the Vigil and ceremony.
Vigil:
Cadets to arrive for 1930h at Waterloo City Hall (100 Regina St S, Waterloo)
Cadets to bring their C1 Uniform with them, come in civilian attire***
*** Cadets working the first shift to arrive in C1 Uniform.
If you do not have a full uniform, wear your most complete uniform.
Kit List:
C1 Uniform: C1 Uniform consists of Parka (with rank slip-ons), Tunic, White Top, Toque, Gloves, White Dress Shirt, Tie, Pants, Dress Boots, Lanyard/Chain, and a poppy.
Bring Gaiters and Webbing if you have them (CPOC2+ wear it).
Appropriate civilian attire (Lounge wear & sleep wear - dress warm)
Sleeping Kit (Sleeping bag/blanket/pillow/cot/etc)
Toiletries
Personal Electronics & non-essential kit are brought at your own risk and staff are not responsible for them.
You do not need food or money, everything is provided.
BRING YOUR HEALTH CARD & A WATER BOTTLE
Ceremony:
Cadets only attending the ceremony - arrive at Waterloo City Hall no later than 0930h, and already wearing your C1 Uniform.
Parents wishing to attend the ceremony, if you’d like a good spot/seat, you should arrive before 0900h. The Parade starts around 1000-1015h, and the ceremony starts at 1030h.
The ceremony will conclude at approximately 1030h.
Cadets will head back to Waterloo City Hall after the ceremony to retrieve their kit.
Post Ceremony:
There will be refreshments and a chili lunch served at the K-W Naval Veterans Association. CADETS ATTENDING MUST BE UNDER THEIR OWN PARENTAL SUPERVISION - This is not an official cadet event as there is alcohol being served at the Legion.
